Galaxy UNPACKED 2018 | Barcelona from SILA SVETA on Vimeo.

Full story: silasveta.com/work/galaxy-unpacked-2018
Highlights and process: behance.net/gallery/63197021/Galaxy-UNPACKED-2018

Galaxy Unpacked event took place on February, 25 ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It was a second time in a row when Sila Sveta was commissioned by Samsung and Cheil to work on the multimedia show for their key premiere event. This time we conceptualized and produced artful content for the opening and the closing acts, as well as the LED installation at the entrance. The huge LED set up we were given was already impressive by itself: total area of the four suspended screens amounted to almost 1000 sq.m (10000 sq ft) - the 360-degree structure was clearly visible from anywhere in the venue. We were also asked to use some additional smart-LEDs, so we arranged them around the structure and incorporated them in our content for opening and closing sequences for a fully immersive effect. More than 5,000 people witnessed the show live in Barcelona, and several million more viewers joined the live stream.

Rams - Official Trailer from Film First on Vimeo.

“Rams” is the new documentary film from Gary Hustwit (Helvetica) about legendary designer Dieter Rams. For over fifty years, Rams has left an indelible mark on the field of product design with his iconic work at Braun and Vitsoe, and his influence on Apple. So at 86 years old, why does he now regret being a designer? RAMS is a design documentary, but it’s also a rumination on consumerism, sustainability, and technology is changing human behavior. Dieter’s philosophy is about more than just design, it’s about a way to live. The film also features an original score by pioneering musician Brian Eno.

“Rams” is screening now at special events worldwide, and will be released digitally in December 2018. More info and teasers from the film at hustwit.com/rams

Dune from R▲ on Vimeo.

This is my attempt to envision what could screen graphics look like for the new movie adaptation of Frank Herbert’s “Dune”, if this would happen.

I have created seven scenes which themes are bond together and all the visuals are merging together into one story, smoothly transitioning one into another: unveiling the planet, discovering its dangers and nature, showcasing its location in the universe, establishing connection with your friendly forces, setting a tone for it, and then completing your mission.

Because computers are forbidden in the world of Dune, I’ve approached this project from the perspective of creating something more of a screen title nature, rather than traditional diegetic UI. White appearance helps to eliminate the holographic look, and overall aesthetics of this piece is close to e-ink technology, to emphasize the literary foundation of the product.
